Hash Tools
Calculate text digests, compare hash algorithms and generate keyed HMAC values locally.
5 tools with local browser processing.
All hash tools
Hash Generator
Generate MD5, SHA-1, SHA-256, SHA-384 and SHA-512 hashes online with optional HMAC. Compare algorithms and copy hex or Base64 output.
SHA-256 Generator
Generate SHA-256 hashes from text online. Copy 256-bit output in hex or Base64 and keep input private with browser-side hashing.
SHA-512 Generator
Generate SHA-512 hashes from text online. Create 512-bit digests in hex or Base64 with private browser-side processing.
SHA-1 Generator
Generate SHA-1 hashes online for legacy checksums and compatibility. Understand SHA-1 security limitations and keep input in your browser.
MD5 Generator
Generate MD5 hashes online for checksums and legacy compatibility. Copy 32-character hex output and learn why MD5 is not secure for passwords.
Choose the right tool
SHA-256 and SHA-512 are useful for modern digest workflows. MD5 and SHA-1 are retained for legacy checksums and compatibility; they are unsuitable for collision-resistant security. A plain fast hash is not a password-storage scheme. Use the same byte encoding when comparing digests.
